Magnify, Catholic Talk Radio on WLKK, Erie, PA aired a conversation with Rev. Msgr. L. Thomas Snyderwine, pastor, St. Luke’s R.C. Church and Executive Director Viola W. Bostic on Sunday, July 30, 2006. The discussion spotlighted the Emergency Chaplains Corps’ crisis-response training program and the annual scholarship contests intended for high school seniors involved in community service.

The Public Record, a South Philadelphia neighborhood weekly, featured Dante Mattioni, chair of the Board of Directors and Mistress of Ceremonies and Board Member Helen Dillon congratulating Capt. Michael Linton, president of Delaware River Pilots Association on being conferred the prestigious Legion of Honor Award on May 22, 2006.

Semperfi, the magazine of the Marine Corps League, in its July-August Roll Call section pictured Viola W. Bostic, executive director applauding Pound 96 PPD George Fodor and PDD George E. Williams, Board trustees, on being awarded the prestigious Legion of Honor bronze medallions on May 7, 2006.

Flag Pole Ceremony at the Chapel
Monday, July 24th, 2006 at the Four Chaplains Philadelphia headquarters. The Chapel of Four Chaplains honored the memory of Mervin H. Brandt, a civilian worker, who perished on February 3, 1943, aboard the USAT Dorchester with a flag raising ceremony. Rabbi Bradley N. Bleefeld, Beth Hillel of Carmel Synagogue, Vineland, NJ, an Emergency Chapel Corps member, officiated.

Maritime Day Reception
Monday, May 22, 2006 at the Corinthian Yacht Club, Essington, PA
The Four Chaplains Memorial Foundation held a reception to celebrate Maritime Day by bestowing the Legion of Honor Gold Medallion to Capt. Michael Linton, president of the Delaware Pilots Association. Eight additional Legion of Honor Awards were presented to industry leaders.
