Board of Directors
The Four Chaplains
Memorial Foundation Board of Directors has the
fiduciary role of fulfilling corporate governance
responsibilities. The Four Chaplains board has the
authority to determine and implement the
organization’s values, vision, mission and strategic
direction to ensure its success and longevity. The
Board of Directors is also charged with evaluating
its effectiveness in fulfilling its function.
Candidates for board membership
must be of high moral and ethical standing,
demonstrate leadership skills and have an extensive
history of community service. Furthering interfaith
cooperation and promoting unity among all people are
also necessary. In addition, board members must
attend meetings regularly, renew memberships
annually, have the ability to contribute or seek
monetary resources, and develop new contacts to
benefit the Four Chaplains. |

Trustees
The Four Chaplains Memorial
Foundation Trustees serve in a leadership capacity
by offering advice and counsel to the Board of
Directors. They assist them in communicating the
organization’s mission, in ensuring sufficient
resources, in raising the image of the organization, in
joining one Board committee and in participating in the
Annual Meeting. In addition, Trustees vote to elect the
Board of Directors.
Candidates for Trustee membership must
be of high moral and ethical standing, demonstrate
leadership skills and be involved in public service.
Furthering interfaith cooperation and promoting unity
among all people are also necessary. Trustees must renew
memberships annually. After a designated period,
Trustees can become eligible for nomination to the Board
of Directors.
New Home Fresh Start
After twelve years of great effort
on the part of many good people, on February 15,
2001, The Chapel of Four Chaplains
moved to a new, permanent home in Building 649, the
Chapel at the the Philadelphia Navy Yard.
